HEY PEOPLE,
It’s been a long time! Have you been enjoying the sunshine? April has been a not so motivating month for me….I’ve been ill again and have stayed home trying to do my dissertation research (not so much in success sadly). Here are a few of my beauty favourites from this month, including make-up, skincare and hair products.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder – Dim Light £38
This is definitely a product that is worth the hype! This finishing powder uses photo-luminescent technology to alter and refine the appearance of the complexion. There are six different shades to choose from. The reason I chose ‘Dim Light’ is because it gives a really natural, flawless finish and it can be used all over the face. From the swatch it looks very pigmented but when you apply it on the face with a brush, it is much lighter.
Another test I did was applying this on my face right before a gym sesh. After a sweaty session, the powder didn’t rub off and stayed matte which was amazing. It is definitely a product that can last all day! This product is also free of parabens, talc, fragrance, nano-particles and gluten.
Max Factor Creme Blush – Lavish Mauve £8.99
This looks quite similar to the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush. Max Factor has launched these lightweight baked formula blushes that offer a beautiful flush of colour and sheen to the skin. They are smooth and buttery, easy to blend and are very buildable. Lavish Mauve has a bit of glitter in it which isn’t too noticeable until it’s on the skin under direct sunlight. All in all, this is certainly a baked blush to love.
Diorshow Maximizer Lash Plumping Primer Serum £24.50
This is probably the best primer I have ever used. This Primer Serum instantly primes, plumps, and lengthens lashes with an ultra-light and quick-drying formula. It’s the first “active serum” mascara primer that also contains a unique complex, made up of hydrolyzed soy proteins that promote long-term lash growth, strength, and vitality.
After applying the primer, you can instantly see your lashes curled, thickened and lengthened! You can also use this primer at night as a deep conditioning treatment for your lashes.
Fresh – Soy Face Cleanser £30
This is an amazing face cleanser that is suitable for all skin types. It is extra gentle and can instantly remove everyday impurities and makeup, even mascara, without stripping the skin of its essential moisture. The multi-tasking formula also works to tone, soother, and soften the skin for a radiant, healthy-looking complexion. It is highly rich in amino acid soy proteins, which helps with cell turnover, maintaining elasticity and healthy skin. This water soluble cleanser feels very light and doesn’t dry out the skin either. This product is all natural and also free from parabens, sulphates and phthalates.
Mizon Multi Function Formula – All in One Snail Repair Cream £30
A truly innovative and hydrating cream formulated with 92% snail extract. The All-In-One Snail Repair Cream helps hydrate the skin, fight wrinkles, and reduces acne scarring and blemishes. I find this more suitable as a day cream, as the consistency is between a serum and moisturiser, and is therefore easy to apply and is absorbed by the skin immediately.
Mizon Returning Starfish Cream £25
This is a very unique moisturiser, formulated with 70% starfish extract to actively hydrate, regenerate, and rejuvenate skin. This is a beauty product that is ideal for people with no concerns about using animal extracts. However, it may be something to avoid if you are vegan or vegetarian.
The cream has a firm jelly texture and can easily be applied to the skin. It is very hydrating, especially if you leave it on overnight, your skin feels more plump the next day. I also adore the beautiful packaging of this cream.
On a side note, I turned 24 this month! Tweedle D came down to London to celebrate with me after many many years! I’m so blessed to have her in my life :)
Enjoy the rest of the week and the lovely sunshine!
Lots of Love,
Tweedle T x
