It is the time of the year where the clocks go back and the cold wintry days start creeping in. It is also the time of the year for Mid-Season Sales and has led to a few casual purchases from ASOS and Top Shop… I have also been reading online that Starbucks is launching a Chestnut Praline Latte, I don’t normally like Starbucks at all and I don’t drink Starbucks but this flavour is super tempting and I love Chestnuts! As it is getting colder, everything feels more dry, I have been focusing on keeping my skin and hair hydrated. Foreo Luna Mini (£99) – This is my first electronic face cleanser and I had my debate in choosing this or the Clarisonic, but I ended up with the Luna Mini because you don’t need to replace the brush head and all you have to do is recharge it when it is running low (I haven’t charged mine after the first charge for two months and it is still running!) This is small enough to bring to anywhere you go, which is great for travelling! It has given me a healthy-looking glow, and my skin absorbs my skincare products better. I have also used it as a massager in the morning to help de-bloat my face. I used it with my Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Cleansing Foam and it helps generating more foam to keep your skin moisturised while cleansing and without feeling your skin being stretched or dried after rinsing it off with water. I went to a Shiseido Workshop before and the correct use of their cleansing product is to squeeze a pea-sized amount on your palm, mix it with lukewarm water until you produce a foam and then applying this foam on your face evenly. Then rinse it with lukewarm water. By producing this foam, it claims that it keeps your face moisture without stripping it so it doesn’t give that dried up feeling after rinsing it with water. Any Shiseido beauties tried this cleansing method? Bleach London Reincarnation Mask (£6) – Damaged hair life saver (on a budget)! My hair got super dry since I got back to London even though I haven’t done anything to it :/ Having used a sample tubed from the past after bleaching my hair, I decided to repurchase it. It leaves my hair super soft afterwards! Yes I know, nothing can really beat the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer, as it does work wonders to my hair but I’m not ready to splurge on it yet. It is also very good value for money, I bought this at the start of September and I have been using a ping-pong ball sized amount twice a week and it tube is more than half full. Laneige Lip Moisture Lip ($163.90 HKD) – No more chapped lips! I have to say this is a life changing lip balm and also a life saver. It is super moisturising and can be doubled up to be used as a lip mask at night. All you have to do is just apply more product over lips and also the area around your lip, leaving your lips moist and suppled when you wake up! It leaves my lips super soft and replenish loss moisture. Even though I purchased this in Hong Kong, you can get this on yesstyle uk. Mary Kay Lash Love Waterproof Mascara (£16) – I got this a while back before summer, but never really got around in using it as I had my Fairydrops and HolikaHolika Super Clara. But since going back to university, I wanted something less dramatic and a cleaner, fresh look. As you can see from the brush, it is very fine and good spacing for separating the lashes. This is a very good mascara for lengthening and it doesn’t clump at all, nor flake, nor smudge! It doesn’t make your lash droop either; keeping your lash appearing more lifted, multiplied. It also has the Mary Kay Panthenol-Pro Complex and vitamin E which help moisturise, strengthen and condition lashes and help defend against breakage. This is perfect for a natural flawless, soft and healthy look without volumising your lashes too much.
Bare lashes and I didn’t curl my lashes or use any lengthening primer to show the wonders of this mascara.
Left: After one coat of the mascara, you can already see my lashes have lifted and lengthened.
Right: After three coats, it is still clump free and no drooping of the lashes.
Phonefoam Golf Fit Anti-Shock iPhone Case in Champagne Gold ($18.50 USD) – TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH IT! I had the Phonefoam Golf Case in Mint which I got in Korea with Tweedle D, but the card slot space cracked (right) so I was trying to look for something similar with a card slot space at the back of the phone. With luck, I found it on eBay! It costs $18.50 USD and it comes with free shipping from KOREA! This new one I got (left) is also slimmer and has an easier access to the silent button. Apart from these products, the Scholl Velvet Smooth Overnight Foot Mask and the Rituals Magic Touch mentioned from my May Favourites also help replenish my skin and keep my dry skin at bay!
Lots of Love,
